Hawkswood received a complete refit in 2000-2003. The boat was pulled, the interior was removed down to the bare hull, all tanks and all systems and all fittings were removed. The bottom was sanded, faired and painted with 2 coats of Petit Trinidad CSR anti-fouling paint and a new boot stripe. All thru-hulls were replaced or reconditioned. The rudder was faired and repainted, all zincs were renewed, the prop anti-fouled. All deck fittings were pulled, replaced as necessary and rebedded with backing plates. The deck was sanded, primed, then finished with 3 coats of non-skid Interlux polyurethane paint. The cabin top received a primer coat and 2 finish coats of Interlux Brightside polyurethane paint. All bilge pumps and hoses were replaced. 

The masts were unstepped, the stays checked and replaced as necessary, sanded primed and refinished with two coats of  Interlux polyurethane paint, all mast electrical wiring was replaced, chain plates were pulled, examined, refitted. The VHF antennas and wires are new, as is the wind vane. The spreaders are new, sealed in epoxy and painted with polyurethane. There are new halyard pulleys, and the winches were serviced.  Sails were examined by a sailmaker and refurbished as needed.

The interior of the boat was completely rebuilt from the hull up.  New cushions, bedding, curtains and carpet, in short, everything on the inside of the boat is new - 2002 or later. 

All electrical fittings and wire were replaced.  The entire water and plumbing systems were refurbished or replaced

May 2007 - Topside and bottom painted. Exterior brightwork varnished, engine serviced, interior repainted and varnished as needed. All systems inspected and repaired as needed, sails examined and repaired as needed. Hawkswood is good to go .
